The Ellsworth Community School District Foundation's Teacher of the Year Award is the highest honor the Foundation can bestow. The award consists of a significant cash award and a memento presented at the Ellsworth High School graduation ceremony.
The honor is designed to recognize a teacher who has demonstrated an unusual commitment to inspire students to reach their goals. Nominees should have earned the respect of students and others through sustained effort, high moral standards, and the likelihood of enduring beneficial effects on the students with whom they have worked.
Any current teacher within the Ellsworth Community School District is eligible for nomination. Any current student or alumnus who is not employed by the Ellsworth Community School District can make nominations.

As a second-grade teacher at Ellsworth Elementary School, Mrs. Paul exemplifies the dedication, compassion, and excellence that define outstanding educators. She creates a supportive and engaging classroom environment where students feel valued, challenged, and inspired to learn. Through her passion for teaching, commitment to student success, and ability to build meaningful relationships with students and families, Mrs. Paul makes a lasting impact that extends far beyond the classroom.
